Extension and Bathroom Renovation - Fannie Bay

With many extensions there can often be constraints when trying to find the balance between a pleasing design, desirable space, and overall functionality, however this is a project that can safely claim to have satisfied all the above criteria. This project began with the vision to expand the family home whilst facilitating privacy, independence, and a form security in the event of cyclones, so a robust 2 story design was generated.

This build presented the team with many great challenges throughout it's installation.  The external finishes comprised of raw, clear finish blockwork and a mix of custom orb, clear ply and James Hardie cladding, the adjoining bridge between the existing residence and the extension was finished with merbau decking and screening and not to mention the access was restricted by the boundary and existing residence and the overall 7m height of the structure required specialty scaffolding in the harder to reach areas- all whilst enduring and extremely wet few months!

Built in conjunction with this stunning Extension, due to creating more bedrooms, the client was able to transform an existing bedroom into a comfortably sized bathroom.  One feature unique to this bathroom is that it also sports an air conditioner- as an existing asset from the prior use as a bedroom.  Great way to be able to enjoy a cool bathroom throughout the hotter months!
